Soccer also known as football or association football is a sport played between two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to put a spherical ball into the opposing goal using any part of the body except the arms and hands. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to touch the ball with their hands. These are stretches for kicking a stationary ball such as taking a penalty or free kick. They are applicable to soccer, rugby, American gridiron, Australian rules football and other types of football.
